SameTone Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 25, 2026. Version: 2026-10-25.

SameTone is an international video translation and dubbing service. This policy describes how we process data when you upload a video, sign in with Google, create a dubbed video, or purchase minutes. The same general data handling rules apply to paid processing and the free allowance provided at registration. This policy also applies when you upload a file before registering.

1. Who processes your data

SameTone is provided by Paradnik Andrei Sergeevich, acting as an individual. For privacy questions and requests concerning your data, contact [email protected].

2. Data we receive

Google Sign-In data

If you choose Google Sign-In, SameTone receives your unique Google account identifier, verified email address, name, and profile picture if available. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or other content in your Google account.

We use these details to create and authenticate your SameTone account, display account information, link uploads and projects to your account, and send account service messages. Google account data is not used as input for video dubbing or image generation, to train AI models, or to target advertising. SameTone does not use Google APIs to create or distribute AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery.

To operate accounts and service messages, these details may be processed by the storage, authentication, and message delivery providers described in Section 5. We do not sell Google account data or provide it to advertising brokers. We store these details in our account and authentication systems while your account exists; the deletion process and periods in Section 6 apply, as do the protective measures in Section 10.

3. Why we use data

We use data to receive videos before registration, link uploads to your account after sign-in, create and deliver dubbed videos, display your projects, account for purchased minutes, respond to requests, check translation and dubbing quality, fix problems, protect the service, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Analytics helps us assess acquisition sources and advertising effectiveness and identify stages where users stop progressing toward a demo or purchase.

SameTone may give authorized specialists limited access to user materials to provide and support the service, check translation and dubbing quality, address requests and complaints, identify and fix errors, and maintain security. Access is limited to what is necessary for the relevant purpose. Before registration, access is limited to the activities described in the Upload Terms.

User videos, voices, texts, and results are not used to train models by SameTone or its AI providers. Access for support and quality checks does not authorize the use of materials for model training.

We do not publish user work in advertising, portfolios, or public examples without the user's separate consent. Where work contains other people's personal data, an applicable legal basis is also required for its public use. We send marketing emails only with separate consent. Emails about sign-in, purchases, security, and service operation are account service communications.

4. Grounds for processing

Data needed for preliminary uploads, sign-in, dubbing, and purchases of minutes is processed to provide the requested service or take steps before providing it. Data used to protect the service, investigate incidents, provide support, and check translation and dubbing quality is processed within the limits of applicable law and with regard to the rights of affected people. Where the law requires consent, we request it separately for the specific purpose, including for marketing emails and public use of user work.

Optional analytics is enabled only with separate consent. You can withdraw it through cookie settings; refusing analytics does not limit the service's core features, and accepting the Terms of Use does not replace this consent.

A video may contain data about people who are not SameTone users. SameTone identifies and complies with the applicable grounds for processing and its obligations to protect the data it receives, independently of the user's confirmation. Requirements concerning the uploader's rights and authority are set out in the Upload Terms and Terms of Use for the relevant stage of working with the material.

5. Data recipients

We use providers of data storage, speech recognition and audio processing, translation, speech synthesis, authentication, payments, and message delivery to operate the service. They receive information needed for the relevant operation. This may include files or links granting access to them, audio, text, voice samples, contact information, and purchase information. The information disclosed depends on the function being performed; not every provider needs the entire file. Before registration, a file is received for technical checks and temporary storage. Translation and speech synthesis begin after registration and acceptance of the Terms of Use.

When analytics is enabled and you have consented, the analytics information listed in Section 2 is sent to Google through Google Analytics 4, both from your browser and from SameTone's server. Google may process it outside your country. For more information, see how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services.

Data may be processed outside your country. You can request information about the recipients of your data and international transfers at [email protected]. We may disclose data to competent authorities where required by applicable law.

6. Data retention and deletion

Videos and results are intended for access by the user who owns the project. SameTone does not create public links to them.

Video categoryRetention rule
Project source files used for processing and adding languagesRetained while the project and account exist, unless you request deletion earlier.
Dubbed versions of videosRetained while the project and account exist, unless you request deletion earlier.
Anonymous videos uploaded before registration and not linked to an accountEligible for automatic deletion 24 hours after the upload is completed. If the upload is not completed, the period starts when the upload begins. Cleanup runs in the background.

The retention rules for project source files and dubbed versions are the same for paid processing and the free allowance.

Purchase information, support requests, and technical records are retained for as long as necessary for accounting, support, security, and legal obligations.

A retention period of 14 months has been selected for detailed user and event data in Google Analytics. Different retention rules apply to aggregated statistics. Withdrawing consent stops subsequent analytics event submissions but does not automatically delete information already sent. You can request its deletion using the contact details in this policy.

To delete a project, account, or personal data, use an available service function or contact [email protected]. Where necessary, we ask for information to confirm your identity or connection to the relevant data.

Following a verified request, the relevant data, including analytics records in SameTone's systems, is deleted from our working systems and active archives within 7 days, and from backups within 90 days. Both periods start when your identity or connection to the data is confirmed. A request from a verified account does not require an additional check unless there are reasonable grounds for doubt. These periods also apply to copies processed by providers on SameTone's behalf, except Google Analytics, whose deletion process is described below. Until deletion, backup data is not used in the ordinary operation of the service. Exceptions for information that must be retained under applicable law or to protect legal rights apply only to the necessary extent and for the relevant period.

As part of the same request, we submit a request to Google Analytics to delete data associated with you within 7 days after verification. Google's request handling process and timeframes are described in the Google Analytics documentation. You do not need to make a separate request to delete analytics data.

7. Cookies and technical diagnostics

SameTone uses essential cookies for uploads, sign-in, and remembering your choices, and, with your consent, analytics technologies. Browser storage entries, their lifetimes, and how to change your choices are described in the Cookies and Similar Technologies Policy.

The service also collects technical errors and request information for diagnostics and security.

8. Children and people in videos

SameTone is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not request dates of birth or identity documents to verify age. A video uploaded by an adult may nevertheless contain a child's image or voice. When handling children's data, SameTone takes account of applicable requirements to protect their interests. You can report a suspected violation at [email protected].

9. Rights of people whose data is processed

Users and other affected people can contact [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, withdrawal of consent, or another right provided by applicable law. We may ask for information needed to confirm your identity and connection to specific material. Withdrawing consent to marketing emails or public display of work does not affect processing needed for a service already requested or to meet legal obligations.

10. Data security and policy changes

We restrict access to files and technical systems, use secure connections, and take steps to prevent unauthorized access. Absolute security of data transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed. If we make material changes to how data is processed, we will update this policy and notify users as required by applicable law.
